PANDA CARES CENTER OF HOPE MOVES, BRINGING LONG-TERM REHABILITATIVE CARE INSIDE CHILDREN’S MEDICAL CENTER DALLAS

In 2022, the team and services previously located at Our Children’s House moved to the Children’s Medical Center Dallas campus and thus the new Integrated Therapy Unit (ITU) was opened as a Panda Cares Center of Hope.

The move to the new ITU Panda Cares Center of Hope allows Children’s Health℠ to align and integrate long-term rehabilitative care with other specialties and support services at the Dallas campus for children with developmental or birth disorders, traumatic injury or severe illness. Programs located in the unit include rehabilitation, pulmonology and inpatient feeding programs.

Philanthropy, including a momentous $7.5 million commitment from Panda Express through Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals made in 2021, has furthered the commitment to providing holistic, multi-disciplinary care to the growing North Texas pediatric population today and in the future. Investments have supported facility enhancements and growth, new specialized equipment and afforded patients and families greater access to specialized care teams for improved care coordination and a better hospital experience.

In addition to the array of services centered around physical rehabilitation, philanthropy has made possible a multitude of mental health resources and support programs to strengthen individual resolve and outlook among patients.
