Members from across North Texas come together to volunteer and raise funds for critical hospital needs that push the mission forward to make life better for children. In 2023, the Auxiliary celebrated a record-breaking fundraising year — raising over $1.5 million to support various initiatives, including pediatric mental health and dedicated programs like spiritual care and pet therapy that provide coping strategies and make life easier for patient families experiencing the unthinkable.

Established in 1962, the Women’s Auxiliary began their rich tradition of service through their fundraising, advocacy and volunteering to provide support to the patients, families and hospital staff at Children’s Medical Center Dallas. In the beginning, the Auxiliary focused their support on lifesaving equipment and crucial programs and services, all the while operating the Women’s Auxiliary Children’s Corner Gift Shop — still a favorite stop for all hospital visitors.

Today, the Auxiliary’s year-round compassion and efforts play essential parts in advancing our mission to make life better for children. In the last six decades, the Women’s Auxiliary has raised over $27 million and contributed countless volunteer hours to make a significant difference in the lives of patients, families and team members at Children’s Health.℠
