For more than three decades, local RE/MAX agents have supported Children’s Health℠ through the company’s partnership with Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals, totaling over $1.5 million in lifetime giving to impact the health of kids and families in the North Texas community.
The RE/MAX Miracle Home & Miracle Property Program empowers RE/MAX agents and offices to support local children’s hospitals. By designating their listing as a Miracle Home or Property, North Texas agents donate a portion of each home sale commission on behalf of their clients to Children’s Health.
As Realtors, these agents understand the impact of growth on our community. The current North Texas pediatric population is expected to be 5 million by 2050, and Children’s Health is preparing to keep pace with expanding patient needs. For more than a century, it has been our mission to make life better for children, and now is the time to ensure we’re ready as the health care needs of North Texas kids are growing.
In 2023, local RE/MAX agents gave almost $90,000 to support enhancements to our campuses that help us care for the unique needs of kids today and for generations to come.
Below, RE/MAX agent Brianna Castillo explains why she supports Children’s Health as a Miracle Agent.
How long have you been a RE/MAX Miracle Agent and why did you decide to become one?
I became a Miracle Agent about 5 years ago. My office manager shared the opportunity with our office, and it was a no-brainer. At the time, I was still in the thick of multiple weekly doctor visits and tests for my two children, who were both under 2 years old. I was so impressed with and felt loved by the care they received as patients at Children’s Health. This giving program is a great and easy way to help more people get that same care. I know how isolating and terrifying it can feel to need hospitals for your children.
As a real estate agent, why is Children’s Health an important resource for your community?
We help a high number of families relocate to the Dallas area from out of state each year. Excellent pediatric health care is an important factor in many of these families’ decisions. To have Children’s Health in our community is such a blessing!
As our community grows, how does your support help Children’s Health meet the needs of more children now and in the future?
With my support and the support of other miracle agents, families who might have to settle for less specialized care for their kids can experience more. Allowing all children to have access to excellent health care is a privilege.
Beyond making a financial gift, what are some other ways that RE/MAX has given back and why is that important to you?
My team has worked to engage our community outside the box of financial gifts. For two years, we organized book drives, working to keep the bookshelves full at Children's Health. We also have engaged our entire client list to get involved with us and to rally their neighbors and friends.
